Trip Overview
The sacred shrines of Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple are located in the Garhwal Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, India. These revered temples are part of the Char Dham Yatra and are situated amidst breathtaking snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and holy rivers.
Kedarnath Temple is located in the Rudraprayag district at an altitude of approximately 3,583 meters (11,755 ft), near the Mandakini River. The temple is surrounded by majestic Himalayan mountains and is accessible via a scenic trek from Gaurikund.
Badrinath Temple is situated in the Chamoli district at an altitude of around 3,133 meters (10,279 ft), along the banks of the Alaknanda River. The temple lies between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges and is easily accessible by road.
Both destinations are well-connected by road from Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun, with the nearest airport being Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. Helicopter services are also available during the Yatra season.
