Trip Overview
Chopta, Tungnath, and Chandrashila are all located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and are popular destinations for trekking and pilgrimage.
Chopta is a small hill station nestled amidst the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of around 2,680 meters (8,790 feet). It is often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of India” due to its breathtaking natural beauty, lush green meadows, and panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks.
Tungnath is famous for housing one of the highest Shiva temples in the world. Situated at an altitude of about 3,680 meters (12,073 feet), the Tungnath Temple is an important pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Shiva. The trek to Tungnath from Chopta is relatively moderate and offers stunning views of the Himalayan ranges.
Chandrashila is the summit located near Tungnath and is renowned for its mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views. At an altitude of approximately 4,000 meters (13,000 feet), reaching Chandrashila involves a steep but rewarding trek from Tungnath. From the summit, one can enjoy panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, and Kedar.
The trek from Chopta to Tungnath and then to Chandrashila is a popular itinerary among nature lovers, trekkers, and spiritual seekers alike, offering an unforgettable experience amidst the serene Himalayan landscapes.
DAY 0 : DEPARTURE FROM DELHI

DAY 1 : PIT STOP (DEVPRAYAG) CHOPTA
Pit stop at Devprayag – Witness the beautiful Sangam of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda. Reach Chopta by noon & check in to the camps. Freshen up & relax in the lap of nature.
Dinner & sleep overnight.
DAY 2 : CHOPTA - TREK TO TUNGNATH CHANDRASHILA
Wake up early and witness to the beautiful sunrise.Post breakfast, start your trek to Tungnath.Reach Tungnath & pay your respect at the highest abode of Lord Shiva.
Start your journey to most astonished Chandrashila peak (if weather permits).Come back to the campsite by evening, dinner & sleep overnight.
DAY 3 : TREK TO DEORIA TAL - DEPART FOR DELHI
Wake up early & witness the beautiful sunrise.Post breakfast, head to Sari Village (Starting point for Deoria Tal Trek).
Start your trek to astonishing Deoria Tal. Trek back to Sari village & depart for Delhi.
Head back to Delhi with amazing trip memories.
Transfers from Delhi to Delhi. (By Tempo Traveller/Volvo).
Accommodation for 02 nights in (hotel/Camps).
A Total of 04 meals - 02 Breakfast and 02 Dinner (From Day 1).
